Why should a de-oxidant be used?

Melted tin flows on the base metal only if there is substantially no surface oxidation.

It is not enough to simply remove the surface oxidation before soldering, because a new oxide layer forms quickly before soldering.

Therefore, to obtain an ideal surface it is necessary to remove oxidation using an appropriate de-oxidant such as the one we propose.
